The competition part of the annual 20th year of Ignis Brunensis is over but there is one more special firework show prepared for the audience. The epilogue named Heaven on Earth from Czech fireworkers will shine above the Spielberk castle. This beautiful last firework can be seen on June 24th at usual time – 22:30.

The last competition firework is about to shine above the dam. The pyromusical called Magic dreams was prepared by the Spanish company Pirotecnia Ricardo Caballer and will be fired to the rhytm of famous movie melodies. The show, perfectly coordinated with music, will start at 22:30 on Saturday, June 17th.

The night of June 14th will be definitely special – the fourth competition firework was created by a team from Switzerland in cooperation with a team from China. Designers from SUGYP company, originated in Switzerland, decided to join forces with China’s pyrotechnicians and make the audience happy through their show.

Fireworker Ivan Martinek: I’m doing everything I can to raise firework to art

This year, to celebrate the annual firework parade, Ivan Martinek has prepared a colourful bouquet to honour fireworkers of all times. Ivan’s project Theatrum Pyroboli is going to initiate the Ignis Brunensis festival. The firework irradiates the Špilberk castle on Friday.

The jubilee twentieth international in-competition firework festival STAROBRNO IGNIS BRUNENSIS is to take place in Brno, Czech Republic at the end of May and during the month of June. A total of seven firework shows have been prepared to mark this twentieth jubilee - the out-of-competition opening and closing shows over Špilberk Castle in the centre of Brno and five firework shows in the main competition on the surface of Brno Dam. This all goes to make the festival in Brno in 2017 one of the largest pyrotechnical events in Europe and around the world with five or more in-competition firework shows alongside such destinations as Cannes, Montreal, Macao and Hannover.
