The drone show about Moravia won the People’s choice

Drone show The City and Region of Stories about the legends and history of Brno and the whole of South Moravia received 77 % of the votes of Ignis Brunensis spectators.

This year, viewers were again able to vote for the drone show that most impressed them. They had a choice between two performances consisting of a fleet of 300 drones: The City and Region of Stories, about the legends and history of Brno and the whole of South Moravia, and Centuries of Discoveries, a show narrated by artificial intelligence, which recalled humanity's technological progress from steam to space flight.

The audience made a clear decision – the drone show with a South Moravian theme was their favourite. The City and Region of Stories show told many interesting stories about the region: why noon is rung at 11 a.m. in Brno, the famous Brno ‘dragon’ and the discovery of the Venus of Dolní Věstonice. The voiceover was narrated by Brno actor and patriot Zdeněk Junák.

Both shows were prepared by the Brno-based company Spectrum Production, which organises drone shows throughout Europe. However, they are always happy to return to Ignis Brunensis. “We always look forward to returning to Brno after a year. We have many ideas, and drone shows are evolving around the world every year,” said David Zaorálek, head of Spectrum Production.

"We would like to organise a drone show at Ignis Brunensis with even more drones. Preparing a show in Brno with a fleet of 500 or 1,000 drones is definitely our dream, but drones also have space requirements, and we would have to come up with different launch sites (other than the current site near Sirka on the Brno Lake)," added Zaorálek.
