IGNIS BRUNENSIS 2023

The special edition of REGIOJET IGNIS BRUNENSIS will select a fireworks "winner of winners" in June. 200 drones will take off again over the Brno Lake

In its twenty-sixth year, the world competition of artistic fireworks REGIOJET IGNIS BRUNENSIS will select the fireworks "winner of winners". The long-awaited attractive Winner of Winners competition of fireworks companies from Sweden, Norway, France and the Czech Republic will be complemented by a unique drone light show at the Brno Lake.

The international competition of artistic fireworks will light up Brno and South Moravia this year from 27 May to 21 June 2023. The fireworks opening will take place on 27 May in the centre of Brno, in the sky above Špilberk Castle – it is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Brno Exhibition Centre, which will celebrate its birthday on the last weekend of May during the BVV95 event.

The main part of IGNIS BRUNENSIS is the annual competition of the world's top fireworks companies on the surface of the Brno Lake, in which the audience will see four spectacular artistic pyromusicals synchronized with music on 10 June, 14 June, 17 June and 21 June (broadcast live by Radio Krokodýl on 103 FM). This year's edition is particularly attractive with the participation of the fireworks winners of the Brno shows from 2018 to 2022. Public viewing areas for the fireworks are free for spectators on the beaches and around the Brno Lake, but traditionally there is also a comfortable paid zone - a sound system-equipped RegioJet grandstand seating area (pre-sale on GoOut.net)

Before the Saturday fireworks on the Lake (10/6 and 17/6) we can again look forward to extraordinary drone performances. Two light shows combined with music, each with two hundred drones, will create animated images over the Brno Lake. After last year's premiere of the IGNIS DRONE SHOW, drone shows with 200 drones will take place again in the Czech Republic - on Saturday, 10 June, the Dance for Two show is prepared and on 17 June a drone spectacle called Mysteries of the World.

In addition to fireworks, drones, amusement park and fun attractions or rich refreshments, beer lovers will also find something to enjoy. This year, the František Ondřej Poupě Beer Festival is part of the IGNIS BRUNENSIS at the Bystrc dock by the Lake. You can taste over 40 beers from microbreweries from various parts of the Czech Republic at the Brno Lake on Friday 16 June and Saturday 17 June.

Fireworks are traditionally accompanied by a festival of entertainment from May to September: Fun Under the City Walls with Transport Nostalgia and rides of historic public transport vehicles under the guarantee of DPMB, TMB and IDS JMK (17-18 June), Police Day and the International Police Riding Championship (9-10 June), children's days and other leisure, cultural, sporting and gastronomic events.

The main co-organisers include the City of Brno, the South Moravian Region and SNIP & CO as the main producer. The title partner is RegioJet from the STUDENT AGENCY group. The main supervisor of the fireworks festival is Flash Barrandov SFX. Spectrum Production are the technological and artistic parner of the IGNIS DRONE SHOW. The official public transport of visitors is provided by the Brno public transport company DPMB.
