The Polish Pyro Race won the audience award
The audience decided which fireworks display was the best at this year's Ignis Brunensis. The People’s Choice award went to the Pyro Race by the Polish team SUREX. The pyrotechnicians told the story of a boy who falls in love with racing and wants to fulfil his dream: to win a Formula 1 race.
The Polish team have already won awards for best music and best design for the obligatory music. After the expert jury announced the awards, designer Jaroslaw Suzdalewicz revealed that he hopes the audience had enjoyed their Pyro Race and that they would be able to add the People’s Choice award to their list of achievements. The audience granted his wish.
The overall results of the audience vote are as follows:
- The winner of the audience vote, Polish Pyro Race, received a score of 1.17.
- The Czech Marvel-inspired fireworks Guardians of the Galaxy, prepared with the support of Austrian pyrotechnicians, got a score of 1.24.
- Italians Fire Water Burn, winner of the main prize, earned a score of 1.31 from the audience.
- The British tribute to Alan Burston, rock pyromusical A Tear in My Bear, earned a score of 1.44.
- The Czech prelude Tribute to the Brave Defenders above the Špilberk castle received a score of 1.77.
“We are very happy that the audience liked all of this year’s shows. All four artistic fireworks at the Brno Lake should have a clear A on their school report,” said Ondřej Morávek on behalf of the organizing company SNIP & CO.
The last vote begins on Monday, June 30 – for the drone show. Viewers will decide on the Ignis Brunensis Official Facebook page whether they liked the light show The City and Region of Stories or Centuries of Discoveries better.
The organizers of Ignis Brunensis are now inviting you to the 29th year of Ignis Brunensis, which will take place from May 30 to June 24, 2026. “The festival will also celebrate its own anniversary next year. The first lake fireworks display on June 13, 2026 will be the 150th jubilee show in the history of the festival,” added Morávek.
