Marvel-inspired fireworks show enchanted viewers

The final fireworks display, inspired by superheroes, captivated the audience with its rainbow colours, spectacular effects and impressive finale. The pyromusical was accompanied by a soundtrack from the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy; the audience appreciated the melodies from the well-known Marvel film. “Amazing. As a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, I have to say that both the colours and the music were great. It created a beautiful atmosphere and put me in a great mood,” said Sabina Pikartová about her experience.

Ondřej Kristko agrees with her: "They did a great job. I always enjoy it the most when they use music from films that I know. Lately, I've been enjoying the fireworks from Czech teams the most."

The last fireworks display of this year's festival, entitled Guardians of the Galaxy, was prepared by the international Ignis Brunensis Team, composed of designers from Flash Barrandov SFX and Pyrovision. For their show, they chose colourful effects, with the sky above the lake turning pink or red several times, large golden shells and rain falling from the sky. “I really liked how colourful the whole fireworks display was, and the finale was absolutely amazing,” said Danka Mračková, sharing her impressions.

“We are primarily a special effects company and action films are our domain. We also have a decent overview of film music, which often inspires us. The popularity test for the compositions was more or less uniform, and the final processing and editing is a matter of dramaturgy and the work of the designer,” said designer Jaroslav Štolba, describing the creation of the fireworks display. The pyrotechnicians selected the final six songs for the soundtrack from approximately sixty options.

Christian Czech from the Austrian company Pyrovision collaborated on the design for the mandatory melody The Race by Yello, where he chose effects representing a race car. Czech enjoys returning to Brno: "Every major show needs a team; you can't do it solo. For me, it's always a pleasure to work with my friends from Flash Barrandov SFX, and I was happy to be part of their show."

Viewers can also rate this fireworks display on the Facebook pages of Ignis Brunensis and Radio Krokodýl and compete to win tickets from Regiojet. From 30 June, it will also be possible for the audience to rate two drone shows on Facebook.

All competition fireworks are also evaluated by a professional jury, and on Thursday, 26 June, a total of three awards will be awarded: the main award, the prize for best music and the prize for best design of the obligatory music.
