Drone show: the Eiffel Tower and the Parthenon shone over the lake

Brno – The We are Europe show commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union. The drone show was accompanied by music, including Smetana's world-famous composition My Country (Má vlast), and spoken word in Czech.

The drone squadron in record size of 250 drones, first formed the shape of a linden tree, the national tree of the Czech Republic - the authors thus pointing out that we all have common roots. The sky also showed the outline of the Czech Republic, which then became the outline of the entire European Union.

The drone flight then showed what it is possible to experience and see in Europe: the landmark of Paris, the "Iron Lady" Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa that defies the laws of physics or the Parthenon standing in the Acropolis of Athens. Thanks to the dubbing, the showmakers also reminded us how easy it is to travel around Europe. Other symbols of the European Union and Czechia were to be seen as well: the iconic 12 European stars or the Czech flag, and at the very end, a giant heart appeared above the lake to represent the Czech Republic as the heart of Europe.

The drone show itself was a double premiere: it was the biggest drone show ever realized in the Czech Republic and for the first time in Brno it was combined with fireworks effects.

"The fireworks effects for the drone show were prepared by the fireworkers from Flash Barrandov SFX. Thanks to the support of our partners, we were able to expand the squadron from 200 to 250 drones this year. We will see what we can implement for the following years," revealed Ondřej Morávek from the organizing company SNIP & CO.

"It was a great experience, you could tell that the show was bigger than last year. I liked the fact that the drones can display, for example, the Eiffel Tower," commented Klára Volfová.

The audience will see one more drone show this year called Water is Life. On Saturday, 15 June at 22:00, 250 drones will again take off at Brno Lake, after which the audience will see the international fireworks show Rhapsody in Rainbow.
